Appearance
Jarnen is a man of medium height with a barrel-like chest and thick, powerful limbs that suggest a lifetime of wrestling stubborn beasts. His skin is weathered and tanned to a deep bronze, etched with fine lines like a map of the frozen north he fled. His hair, once coal-black, is now heavily shot through with slate-grey, usually tied back in a messy knot with a strip of leather. His movement is heavy and grounded, yet he possesses a surprising, liquid grace when weaving through a crowded stable of agitated horses. The most striking thing about him is the smell that clings to him: a heady, not unpleasant mix of cedar oil, dry hay, and old leather.
