Appearance
A mountain of a man whose movements are unexpectedly precise: every step is measured as if marking out a grid in the air. His granite-grey skin is streaked with pale scars like old riverbeds; runic scarification crosses his scalp and the backs of his hands in neat, chalky lines. He wears a battered chain shirt over a sleeved tunic patched from temple cloth; a braided leather strap across his chest holds prayer-beads and a single chip of glass that glitters with inner depth. When he prays he closes one eye only, the other eye slipping open like a shutter — an odd, watchful gesture. Contradiction sits on his shoulders: his gauntleted fists are callused enough to split stone, yet the edge of his beard is threaded with a tiny silver bell that tinkles whenever he tilts his head.
