Asterius the Tipsy
Monk (Way of the Drunken Master)
Asterius the Tipsy
Species
Minotaur
Appearance
Asterius stands imposingly at nearly 7 feet tall with a broad, muscular frame softened by years spent more in a brewing cellar and behind a bar than battlefields. His tawny fur is mottled with streaks of lighter cream where age and stress have taken their marks, especially around his snout and shoulders. Tattoos of swirling hop vines snake up his broad arms, etched with subtle blue ink that shimmers faintly in firelight. Despite his minotaur heritage, his movements carry a surprising fluidity and playful unpredictability, like a river's current beneath a bull’s bulk. His broad horns curve backwards, one cracked near the tip from an old brawl, which he strokes absentmindedly when deep in thought. An incongruously neat, trimmed beard frames his chin, and he wears stained leather brewer’s aprons over a loose linen shirt with rolled sleeves. His eyes are a warm, amber gold but often flicker with mischief or tired pain beneath heavy brows. The scent of barley, oak, and a faint trace of whiskey clings to him wherever he goes.
“Slow, deep baritone, laced with a thick minotaur accent; words often punctuated with gruff chuckles or bemused sighs; fond of old proverbs and metaphors relating to brewing or fighting..”
