Torm Rhorlak
Fighter (Battle Master)
Torm Rhorlak
Species
Goliath
Appearance
Torm is a mountain of a man with flint-grey skin patterned with natural lithic markings that look like flowing river veins. Unlike many of his kin who favor tribal leather, he is perpetually coated in a fine layer of soot and sawdust. He moves with a jarring contradiction of brute force and surgical precision; he might shatter a stubborn stone with a single blow and then immediately pivot to delicately carving a tiny wooden peg. His most striking feature is a pair of silver-rimmed spectacles that look far too small for his wide face, perched precariously on his nose while he works.
“His voice is a low, resonant rumble that feels like stones grinding together. He uses technical carpentry and smithing metaphors for almost everything, describing people as 'well-tempered' or 'having a knot in their grain.”

A series of heat-faded tattoos on his shoulders that glow faint orange when he is angry
A jagged scar across his left palm from a molten iron spill
Silver-rimmed magnifying spectacles
Hands that are permanently stained with grease and charcoal
Voice
“Deep, gravelly, and rhythmic, often accompanied by the sound of him absentmindedly cleaning his glasses.”
Clothing
He wears a heavy, scorched leather smithing apron over durable canvas trousers. His forearms are protected by thick iron-banded bracers of his own making, and he keeps a collection of specialized chisels tucked into a bandolier across his chest.
Body Language
He stands with a wide, stable base like he is ready to be hit by a charging bull. He rarely looks people in the eye, preferring to watch their hands or the equipment they carry.
