Ixchel, The Weaver of Tides
Goddess
Ixchel, The Weaver of Tides
Species
Celestial
Appearance
Ixchel appears as a tall woman with skin the color of polished mahogany that shimmers with an iridescent rainbow sheen in direct light. Her hair is not hair at all, but a flowing, weightless cascade of silver water that drips upwards toward the sky. She has the dual-natured face of both a young maiden and a weathered crone, shifting between the two depending on the angle of the light. On her head rests a living coiled serpent that serves as a crown, its scales shifting through the phases of the moon. Her eyes are large and liquid, containing no pupils but instead reflecting the current phase of the moon in the material plane.
“Her voice has the resonant quality of water moving through a deep cavern. She uses archaic metaphors involving weaving, pottery, and the sea.”
