Silas the Hook Vane
Species
Human
Appearance
Silas is a mountain of a man with shoulders that barely fit through his own shop door. His skin is the color of cured leather, mapped with thin white scars from decades of both combat and culinary mishaps. He has a salt and pepper beard trimmed into a sharp, military point and hair that is cropped close to a skull that has seen its share of blunt force. His left hand is missing, replaced by a gleaming, specialized silver-steel hook that is articulated for both butchery and combat. Despite his intimidating size, he moves with the silent, delicate grace of a dancer, never upsetting the scales or knocking over the precarious jars of spices on his counters. He wears a heavy leather apron that seems to have its own geography of permanent stains.
“Silas speaks in a deep, gravelly baritone. He uses short, punchy sentences and avoids flowery language.”
