Princess Elira Vossan
Species
Human
Appearance
Elira moves like someone who was taught both courtly grace and how to ride hard for days. She wears her hair in a loose braid that frays into wind-tousled curls at the nape; the braid is threaded with a single strip of faded blue ribbon — the only remnant of a childhood toy. Her riding cloak is patched in a dozen subtle places, each patch sewn with a different thread color to match a different friend or retainer who mended it (she keeps the stitchers' names in a private ledger). When standing still she carries the careful posture of a princess; when she walks, she favors the left hip as if always poised to draw a blade. Unexpectedly, she keeps a pair of soot-darkened fingerless gloves tucked under her sleeve: she refuses to show them unless she believes someone needs to see proof she has done the dirty work herself. The overall impression is of someone who belongs to a court but often smells faintly of stable straw and candle smoke.
“Measured and clear; she uses courtly phrasing in formal settings but slips into clipped, practical language when angry. She peppers speech with small rural sayings learned from tending to border folk.”

Distinguishing Features
Single silver hair streak at the right temple
Small crescent scar along the inside of her left wrist from a childhood fall
Faded blue ribbon woven into her braid
Voice
“Clear alto with the faint rasp of long hours speaking; laughter is quick and surprising when it appears.”
Clothing
Well-cut riding coat of deep indigo trimmed with brass buttons, faded silk undershirt embroidered with the Vossan family crest, tough leather boots scuffed from travel, and a practical travel skirt split for movement. A silk handkerchief with a painted fox (a childhood emblem) is folded into her belt.
Body Language
Keeps an upright stance in public, hands often resting on pommel or belt; in private she slouches into chairs and lets her feet hang over the edge, revealing a small restlessness in her knees.
