Appearance
Lirael moves like a reed in a breeze: deliberate, springy steps that read as both dancer and hunter. Her long yellow hair is sun-pulled into a loose braid threaded with fallen leaves and a single, dull brass bell that tinkles only when she wants attention. Her clothes are a patchwork of forest greens and faded festival silks—practical, but with theatrical cuts: a short, hooded overcoat cut for drawing a bow and a skirt split to allow long strides. When she stands still she seems to be listening to some private music; when she speaks, a quick, sly smile often arrives before her words do. Unexpectedly, she wears one white leather glove on her left hand only—scorched at the fingertips and embroidered with tiny runic notes.
