His hide is stitched with crude leather and bone trophies, and his left flank bears a wide, puckered scar that runs from rib to hip. He wears a cracked iron pauldron on one shoulder and a braided strip of human hair tied to his belt. When standing still he tilts his head slightly as if listening to distant sounds. Contradictory element: his left wrist has a small, polished wooden bead bracelet carved with tiny pictographs neat enough to be mistaken for a child's talisman.
