Appearance
Short and solid as a fortress column, Haldor moves with the coiled precision of a drill-formed rank. His braided beard is threaded with thin iron rings etched with campaign tally marks. The left side of his face bears a pale, puckered scar that runs from temple to jaw, puckering one eyebrow upward so he almost always looks questioning. His armor is utilitarian and heavily maintained: matt-finished breastplate with polished rivets, a faded black-and-gold sash denoting the Hillstad garrison, and an old enamel pin shaped like a pickaxe.
