Appearance
A woman who moves like someone who spent childhood climbing attics and adult years leaning over desks. Her fingers are ink-stained at the tips yet soft from tinctures. She wears a braided crown of dried rue and calendula tucked beneath her shawl, and small slips of parchment peek from the hems of her sleeves as if the clothes themselves hoard notes. Unexpectedly, one of her forearms bears a faded geometric tattoo in deep blue ink that looks almost like a counting grid. When she walks she rocks slightly on the balls of her feet, as if balancing the weight of too many obligations.
“Measured, with a slight old-hollow cadence. Uses precise dates and chapterlike phrases when telling stories.”
