Silae Thal'ir, called Sila of the Garden Halls
Senior Priestess and Master Courtesan
Silae Thal'ir, called Sila of the Garden Halls
Species
Half-green elf
Appearance
Sila moves like sunlight poured through clematis vines: measured, deliberate, and never the same twice. Her skin seems to pick up the palette of the hall she stands in—now a pale pistachio with a faint dusting of gold at the temples; in moonlit rooms it cools toward silver. Her face is narrow, high-cheekboned, and often tilted as if listening to thoughts the world hasn't spoken. She wears a delicate lattice of henna-like scars across the left side of her throat—ritual sigils that shimmer faintly when she speaks a benediction. Her hands are long and callused at the fingertips from both embroidery and the handling of ceremonial blades; one knuckle bears a permanent inked bloom where she branded her first initiates. When Sila walks she glides rather than strides, feet silent, hips and shoulders shifting with a dancer's economy; yet when she laughs it is all sudden, bright, and slightly throaty—an unexpected crack in an otherwise even surface. Contradiction follows her: she favors diaphanous robes layered like petals but always wears heavy iron anklets beneath them, cold and functional against the soft fabric.
“Measured, lyrical, with a tendency to frame sentences as invitations: 'Come closer—let us unburden the shape of that thought.' Uses floral metaphors and occasional archaic eladrin turns of phrase; rarely uses profanity but can be cuttingly blunt when trust is betrayed.”
