Gary Daffodil
Cleric (Trickery Domain)
Gary Daffodil
Species
Feltborn
Appearance
Gary looks like a stitched-together, slightly patchwork companion: soft felt skin with visible stitched seams, button eyes (one brass, one glass) that seem to blink independently, and a mop of curly yarn hair that frays slightly at the ends. His torso bears a faded water-stain in the shape of a daffodil (the child's drawing that summoned him), and his left shoulder is patched with a mismatched star of cotton. He moves with a buoyant, puppet-like hop, limbs slightly too springy; when he is contemplative, his head tilts at an improbable angle. Unexpectedly, when the moon hits his buttons, an almost-human warmth seems to come from his chest as if a tiny hearth glows beneath the felt. Contradiction: he is both perpetually cheerful in expression and haunted in his gaze.
“Bright, quick, and breathy; often slides into childlike rhymes or nonsense words mid-sentence. Uses affectionate nicknames liberally.”

Distinguishing Features
Visible hand stitching along neck and wrists that sometimes hums softly
Faded daffodil-shaped stain on chest
Button eyes that reflect a different mood; they blink out of sync
A paper crown that can transform into a map fragment
Voice
“High, bright timbre with sudden lower tones when sad. Laughter is a soft rattle like beads on fabric; anger is a sharp, paper-tear exhale.”
Clothing
A patched sailor's scarf the child loved; a tiny, soot-darkened waistcoat with hand-drawn stars; a stitched-on pocket that holds small treasures and trinkets. He sometimes wears a jaunty paper crown folded from lost maps.
Body Language
Constant small hops and tilts; touches his stitched heart when emotional; folds paper boats absentmindedly; when angry, his needle-finger taps rapidly at seams.
