Rowann Thistle-branch
Commoner
Rowann Thistle-branch
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Thin and weathered, Rowann moves with a slow, willow-like grace. His limbs are slightly too long for his frame as though carved by wind; fingers end in ink-stained nails from record-keeping and bark-like calluses from tending roots. He keeps his back slightly curved as if perpetually leaning into a breeze. When he walks through the shrine grove, grass and low branches seem to part in a small, respectful arc. Unexpectedly, his left ear bears a delicate silver cuff shaped like three leaves — a flamboyant, almost elvish flourish that contradicts his otherwise modest, almost monastic bearing.
“Soft, measured, with pauses like someone listening to a second voice. He peppers his sentences with natural metaphors—'the heart of this tree' or 'the grove remembers'—and rarely raises his voice above a gentle insistence.”

Distinguishing Features
Callused, ink-stained fingers
Narrow silver cuff shaped like three willow leaves on left ear
A faint, pale scar that traces from jaw to collarbone (from a childhood accident)
Eyes that narrow into a far-off softness when he listens to trees
Voice
“Soft, low, and steady — a voice that settles into the ear like a warm cup of tea. Laughs rarely but genuinely, with a quick, watery chuff.”
Clothing
Layered, faded robes of indigo and willow-green—simple linen under a patched wool tabard embroidered with the shrine's circular willow emblem. Worn leather sandals mended with twine; a narrow leather belt with small pouches and a loop for his staff.
Body Language
Open palms, slow gestures; when troubled he folds his hands and inclines his head toward the grove as if asking permission to speak.
