Alistair the Scaleweaver
Transmutation Wizard
Alistair the Scaleweaver
Species
Human
Appearance
Alistair possesses a deceptive fragility, standing with a scholar's stoop that masks a twitchy, predatory alertness. His skin is the color of bleached parchment, stretched thin over sharp cheekbones and a narrow chin. His most jarring feature is his left eye, which is a surgically implanted dragon's eye with a vertical slit pupil that burns with a low, internal orange heat. His right eye remains human, a watery and tired blue. His hands are stained a permanent deep indigo from chemical exposure and are covered in fine, transparent scales that he has unsuccessfully tried to graft onto himself. He moves with a series of quick, bird-like jerks, often smelling of ozone, formaldehyde, and expensive cinnamon incense.
“His voice is a soft, dry rasp, often sounding like wind over dry leaves. He uses overly technical language and frequently corrects the grammar of others even during high-stress situations.”

Clothing
He wears a long coat made from the treated, overlapping hides of failed experiments, varying in texture from displacer beast fur to lizardfolk scales. Beneath the coat is a soot-stained silk doublet and breeches, tucked into boots that leave claw-like imprints in soft earth. A bandolier of glass vials containing swirling mists and glowing fluids crosses his chest.
Body Language
Precise, minimizing unnecessary movement, frequent tilting of the head to look through his dragon-eye.
