Appearance
A small figure wrapped in ragged, half-rotten layers of cloth. The cowl of his filthy cloak is pulled low, shadowing most of his face, but when his mouth moves a mischievous, secretive smile flashes between cracked and yellowed teeth. His bandaged hands are stained with ink, ash, and something that looks like dried starlight. Ragged boots are laced with lengths of twine and buttons he scavenged from a dozen lifetimes. Hanging from his right hip is a bone-white wand the length of a hand, polished on one edge as if someone once fidgeted with it constantly. A finely bound journal hangs on his left hip, its leather patched with vellum scraps and stitched with silver thread. When he walks he shuffles with an exaggerated caution that belies a spring in his step. Unexpectedly, tucked into a tear at his elbow is a bright silk ribbon embroidered with tiny clockwork gears, pristine and absurd against the decay.
“Speaks in a soft, clipped voice that speeds up when excited. He peppers sentences with accounting metaphors and always asks for a tiny acknowledgement when a promise is made.”

Distinguishing Features
Bone-white wand hanging at his right hip
Bandaged, filthy hands smudged with ink and luminous dust
Pristine silk gear ribbon sewn into ragged sleeve
Half-rotten layered rags with meticulous hidden stitches
Voice
“A paper-raspy tenor with a playful undercurrent; voice quickens into near-whisper when bargaining”
Clothing
Layer upon layer of ragged, mismatched fabrics. Many patches are sewn with tiny, precise stitches that form sigil-like patterns. Beneath the rot are glimpses of once-fine vestments and a strip of bright silk ribbon tied to a sleeve.
Body Language
He tilts his head like a bird when listening and taps his wand three times when nervous. He keeps one shoulder slightly higher; it's as if he's always carrying an invisible ledger there.
