Appearance
Jacob Ward looks intentionally forgettable. He has a face like wet clay that catches light and returns little character. His skin has a neutral undertone that can read as pale or sun-kissed depending on the light and the clothes he borrows. His features are even and unremarkable: a straight nose, a jaw that is neither square nor narrow, eyebrows that sit at a calm angle. He moves with the quiet assuredness of someone who has rehearsed every step. His hands are soft in public but reveal faint calluses on the inner fingers from years of lockpicking. When he wants to be noticed he folds himself into a posture that reads authoritative and familiar. When he wants to vanish he leans into smallness. An unexpected element is the thin silver braid woven into the shade of his hair opposite his temple a remnant of a pact and a keepsake that flashes when he tilts his head.
“Measured, slightly hushed with the ability to adopt other cadences; often uses short clarifying questions.”

Distinguishing Features
Thin silver braid tucked at his temple
Slight calluses on the inner fingers of his right hand
A faint crescent scar along his left forearm from a past extraction
Voice
“Quiet and even with a tendency to lower volume when making a point; his accent shifts subtly and convincingly”
Clothing
Jacob favors layered neutral clothing that can be adapted quickly: a well-worn charcoal coat lined with hidden pockets, a reversible scarf that doubles as a face covering, plain shirts, and boots with removable soles. Each garment has small fasteners and slits for easy alteration. He carries a foldable cane that doubles as a stiletto.
Body Language
Small, precise gestures; tends to tilt his head when listening; keeps his palms partly visible when meeting strangers; when stressed he taps his ring finger against the inside of his wrist subconsciously.
