Casimir Venn
Bard
Casimir Venn
Species
Human (Borderlander culture)
Appearance
Tall and slightly stooped as if perpetually leaning toward an eager listener. He wears a dust-streaked traveler's coat patched with scraps of theater banners. The edges of his sleeves are embroidered with tiny, looping musical notes in mismatched thread. When he moves he gestures as if conducting an invisible orchestra; his hands are quick and expressive. Unexpectedly, he keeps one battered child's wooden puppet tucked into his coat pocket and occasionally makes it peek from his cuff when nervous.
“Speaks in rhythmic, theatrical cadences with a habit of framing sentences like clauses in a tale. Uses colorful metaphors and often softens bad news with a half-smile.”

Distinguishing Features
Small carved wooden puppet usually hidden in his sleeve
A crescent-scar faint across his right knuckle
Embroidery of mismatched musical notes on cuffs
Voice
“Warm and expressive with a hint of gravel; he modulates volume like a performer and lowers his voice to near-whisper when sharing something intimate”
Clothing
Worn traveler's coat with patched theater banners, faded waistcoat, snug breeches, scuffed boots, a crimson sash used as both belt and stage flourish, and a loop of small charms at his neck.
Body Language
Open-handed, constantly conducting with fingers. When threatened he curls his shoulders inward and his left thumb rubs a tiny notch carved on his puppet.
