Orbure Havelin
Former Soldier (Fighter 3 / Commoner background)
Orbure Havelin
Species
Human
Appearance
Orbure moves like a man who once wore armor for long days and longer nights: economical, measured steps, a slight forward tilt as if listening for a distant command. He keeps his left sleeve cuffed short to reveal a faded white scar that arcs from wrist toward elbow — the reminder of a spear that passed too close. His face is a map of small lines and a single nicked eyebrow; his jaw is square but softened by years of good food and late-night apologies. He wears a brass fox pin at his throat, dulled by sweat and ale. Unexpectedly, his left hand is always ink-stained from ledger-keeping; the combination of soldier's calluses and smudged handwriting makes him both intimidating and domestic.
“Speaks in short, direct sentences softened by a steady cadence. Uses soldierly turns of phrase — 'hold the line', 'watch your flank' — but tempers them with an earthy sense of humor.”

Distinguishing Features
Faded arc-scar along left forearm (spear wound)
Brass fox pin at the throat made from a campaign medal
Ink-stained fingertips on the left hand
Slight limp after a knee injury in winter campaign
Voice
“Low, even, with a clipped soldier's diction and a warm undertone when amused; laugh is brief and reliable.”
Clothing
Simple wool tunics dyed deep russet for nightly stains, a well-worn leather apron with pockets for ledgers and keys, a weatherproof cloak folded over a peg behind the bar for sudden storms. Boots are scuffed, soles replaced twice. The brass fox pin rests against a hand-stitched patch of faded campaign cloth.
Body Language
Measured gestures; frequently folds his hands behind his back when listening. Works the bar with confident, economical motions. When angry, he straightens rapidly and the scarred forearm tenses visibly.
