Appearance
Obsidian stands exactly three feet tall but projects a presence much larger. His skin is a deep, weathered bronze, etched with fine, soot-filled lines that look like a map of a deep-crust mine. He is almost always encased in a suit of articulated obsidian plate armor that hums with a low, violet frequency. His movement is uncannily smooth, lacking the typical gnomish bounce; he glides across surfaces as if on rollers. The most striking element is his left eye, which has been replaced by a rotating, multi-lensed mechanical apparatus that clicks rhythmically as it focuses. Despite his heavy, crystalline appearance, he carries a delicate smell of fresh rain on hot pavement and crushed mint.
