Appearance
Brancil is a broad-shouldered man with rough, bark-like skin along his forearms and neck—a lingering mark of a blessing (or curse) from the forest god he once served. His curly black hair is shot through with silver, held back by a faded red kerchief. He has a prominent, side-twisted nose and perpetually flushed cheeks, and always smells faintly of juniper and old parchment. His gait is deliberate and heavy, but his eyes dart sharply, missing little. An ornate holy symbol of dark hardwood sits on a chain above his apron, at odds with the utilitarian wear of a barkeep.
“A rich baritone, peppered with rural idioms, his sentences often begin blunt before softening into metaphor. When nervous, slips into archaic temple phrases.”
