Elaenyr Thistlewind
Bard
Elaenyr Thistlewind
Species
Elf
Appearance
Elaenyr moves like a song shaped into a body: sinuous steps, a slight sway at the hips, and fingers that flick as if plucking invisible strings. Her face is long and finely boned, with a faint network of old white scars across her left cheek that look like frost on glass. She wears a narrow circlet of braided silver hair-wire above her brow threaded with a single blue feather. When she performs she tidies one sleeve to reveal a band of stitched glyphs on her forearm. Unexpectedly, where an elf's gait is usually silent, Elaenyr's boots have small bronze bells hidden in the heels; they tinkle once in a while when she is deep in thought, a contradiction to her otherwise graceful stealth.
“Her speech is lyrical and lightly accented by an older elven dialect: she often uses metaphors drawn from tides, songs, and ink. In conversation she lingers on the second syllable of a key word for emphasis and frequently punctuates thoughts with a small, amused 'hm'.”

Distinguishing Features
A fine white-scar network across left cheek (old frostbite or ritual scar?)
Blue feather woven into hair
Hidden brass bells in boot heels
Braided silver circlet with a hammered rune plate
Voice
“Light, slightly husky alto; sings easily but reserves full voice for performances. She drops into a whisper when revealing confidences.”
Clothing
A moss-green travel coat of soft leather trimmed with deep blue silk; layered under is a charcoal doublet embroidered with tiny runes. A long scarf, sooty at the edges from many fires, is wrapped loosely about her neck. She favors collapsible gloves (fingerless) and flexible boots that reach mid-calf. When performing she drapes a shawl of woven moon-thread that catches stage-light and seems to shimmer between navy and silver.
Body Language
Often tilts her head to the side when listening; fingers drum a quiet rhythm on whatever surface is near; makes precise, ornamental gestures when explaining something technical.
