Barnaby Patch Thistlefoot
Bard
Barnaby Patch Thistlefoot
Species
Lightfoot Halfling
Appearance
Barnaby is a stout, energetic halfling with skin the color of well-polished mahogany and a nesting doll of three chins. His copper-red hair is a wild thicket of curls that often traps stray sprigs of rosemary or bits of parchment. He moves with a rhythmic, springy bounce, his feet rarely silent as they tap out complex cadences against the tavern floorboards. Most striking is his apron, which is a literal mosaic of hundreds of mismatched fabric patches, each supposedly representing a story he has collected. While his right eye is a sharp, twinkling hazel, his left eye is clouded by a milky cataract, though he claims he can see the rhythm of a man's heart through the fog.
“Barnaby speaks in rapid-fire, melodic sentences, peppered with theatrical metaphors and the occasional accidental rhyme..”
