Silas Vane
Rogue (Thief Archetype)
Silas Vane
Species
Human
Appearance
Silas looks like a man who has forgotten the feeling of a bed. His skin is the color of pale parchment, mapped with thin, white scars from architectural collapses and trap springs. His messy brown hair is matted with subterranean dust, and a ragged, unkempt beard fails to hide the nervous twitch in his jaw. Despite his exhaustion, his hands move with a frightening, fluid precision that contradicts his trembling shoulders. He smells faintly of ozone and wet copper. He carries a small, pulsating silk bag that he clenches so tightly his knuckles remain permanently white.
“Silas speaks in rapid, breathless bursts, often cutting himself off to listen to noises only he can hear. He repeats key words for emphasis.”

Distinguishing Features
A series of tally marks scratched into his left forearm
Constant twitching of the left eyelid
Stained fingers from handling acidic trap components
Voice
“A raspy, high-pitched whisper that sounds like dry leaves skittering across stone.”
Clothing
He wears multi-layered leather armor that has been patched so many times the original material is unrecognizable. Over this, a moth-eaten grey cloak helps him vanish into shadows, held together by a brooch made from a snapped skeletal finger.
Body Language
Silas stands in a perpetual crouch, weight on the balls of his feet. His head darts back and forth like a bird's, and he frequently touches the tally marks on his arm as a grounding ritual.
