Captain Alric Voss
Fighter
Captain Alric Voss
Species
Human
Appearance
A man who looks as if the weather itself taught him restraint. Skin like cracked oak varnish, wind-whitened stubble along a jaw that still carries the scar of a boarding hook, and steel-gray eyes that study the horizon rather than faces. He wears a dark sea coat that sweeps to his knees and smells faintly of tar and lemon; the coat's brass buttons are polished but unevenly replaced, each one different by origin. His captain's hat is flattened at one side, a narrow silver thread sewn along the rim in the pattern of a lantern flame. One unexpected detail is a child-sized knitted mitten tucked into his belt, faded to a pale blue and clearly cherished for reasons he refuses to explain.
“Curt, maritime cadence. Uses nautical metaphors and short orders.”

Measured and economical. He plants his feet like an anchor, turns his whole body to listen, and uses minimal hand motion except when giving orders. When uneasy he fingers the knitted mitten on his belt.
