A stocky man who moves with the careful, economical gait of someone who has spent decades pouring ale and carrying barrels. His face is papery where the years have pressed lines around the eyes and mouth yet warm when he smiles. He wears a short, fraying apron over a faded hemp shirt and always has a strip of cloth tucked into his belt that smells faintly of cloves and citrus. When he leans forward to speak he often unconsciously props his elbow on the nearest table as if bracing against the weight of the conversation. Unexpectedly, he keeps one manicured hand and one heavily scarred hand the scarred hand is softer when he handles children.
