Toren Vashen
Paladin
Toren Vashen
Species
Human
Appearance
Tall and imposing yet strangely weathered. He moves with the measured stride of a veteran soldier but the economy of a scholar. His plate has been carefully repaired many times; each repair is stamped with a different small sigil from towns that sheltered him. The right pauldron bears a faint burn pattern and a smudged smear of ink, as if he repelled both flame and a clerk in the same day. When he is relaxed he unconsciously folds one corner of his cloak over his left wrist and tucks a small parchment there. Unexpected element: his gauntleted left hand is always bare at the fingertips, showing ink-stained nails and small writing calluses on the thumb and forefinger.
“Measured, with a slight coastal lilt. Prefers formal address and addressees called by titles when in official capacity.”

Distinguishing Features
Ink-stained fingertips on left hand
Faint burn scar on right pauldron
Small stitched sigils visible on multiple armor repairs
Voice
“Low, resonant, and slightly roughened; gains steel when issuing commands and softens to gravel when comforting.”
Clothing
Worn plate of a once-gleaming order, a dark blue cloak lined with cheap but durable leather, a faded tabard embroidered with a sigil of an open hand and a quill, leather gloves with the fingertips shaved on the left hand, and a thick, patched travel satchel slung over his shoulder.
Body Language
He stands square-shouldered, head slightly tilted when listening, fingers frequently tracing ink-stained grooves on his thumb. In combat he plants his feet like an anchor and breathes slow and deep.
