Aelar moves like a line of calligraphy in motion. He is always composed yet intentionally theatrical. His hands are long and expressive, often stained faintly with stage pigments. He favors layered silhouettes that reveal unexpected textures when he turns: a silk waistcoat over a patched linen vest, embroidered with tiny thorned roses. When standing still he gives the impression of being slightly taller than he is because of the vertical embroidery along his spine. Contradiction: his eyes are sharp and calculating, but his smile is frequently clumsy and human, as if rehearsed laughter sometimes slips into a genuine one.
