Sister Thora
High Priestess
Sister Thora
Species
Human
Appearance
Thora is a tall, skeletal woman who moves with a rhythmic, dragging gait. Her skin is the color of bleached parchment and stretched tight over a prominent, hawkish nose. She has an unnerving habit of keeping her head tilted at a slight angle as if listening to a distant whisper. While she carries herself with the authority of a queen, she has intentionally allowed her high priestess vestments to fray at the hems and stain with ash. The most striking element of her appearance is a heavy, rusted iron chain wrapped five times around her waist, trailing three feet behind her on the floor, clattering with every step. Contradicting her severe, ascetic look, she wears a pair of delicate, expensive silk slippers embroidered with silver thread, the only remnant of her former life as a high noble.
“Her voice is a low, rasping rasp that sounds like dry leaves skittering on stone. She speaks in archaic, formal structures and avoids using the word 'I', preferring to speak of herself as 'this humble vessel'.”
