Appearance
Barnaby is a reed-thin man who looks as though a stiff breeze might snap him in half. He possesses unnaturally large, amber-colored eyes that never seem to blink, giving him the appearance of a startled owl. His movement is a series of jerky, bird-like twitches, always checking over his shoulder. Despite his ragged, salt-stained past, he wears a polished brass whistle around his neck that he shines obsessively, a symbol of his new 'honest' job. He smells faintly of old brine and cheap peppermint which he sucks on to calm his nerves.
