Elyra Malven
Councilor / Head of the Silver Tongues
Elyra Malven
Species
Half-elf
Appearance
Elyra moves like a tide pulled by unseen moons: slow, deliberate, with the practiced ease of someone who can stop a room's talk by shifting a shoulder. She favors layered grey silks that catch light like oil on water — matte from a distance, subtly iridescent close up. She wears a long, thin chain of tiny name-tags looped like rosary beads across her chest; each tag is embossed with a single name in three scripts. Her left sleeve is purposely short, revealing a forearm band of faded ink sigils partially hidden by scars. When she consults a list she closes one eye as if reading aloud in her mind. Unexpectedly, her shoes are patched common leather, scuffed and soft from walking Varothen's alleys, which betrays a practical streak beneath the ceremonial poise.
“Measured, low, with a rhythm that uses pauses like punctuation. She chooses precise words, often prefacing statements with 'As recorded' or 'By our count.”

Distinguishing Features
Chain of tiny name-tags worn like prayer beads: each tag stamped with names of the living, the dead, and oaths
Faded ink sigils banded on left forearm (partly obscured by a narrow scar)
A single small notch cut into her left ear — a mark of office among the Silver Tongues
A small mole shaped like a comma beneath her lower lip
Voice
“Low, even, and slightly husky; cadence is slowly metered, with emphasis placed on verbs and names.”
Clothing
Multiple layers of grey silk, long fitted robe, narrow sleeves that flare at the wrist, a darker charcoal over-vest embroidered with the sigil of Varothen in muted thread, and a simple patched leather belt where she hangs a ledger case and a small iron stylus.
Body Language
Habitual index-finger tracing of margins on parchment when listening; she holds her chin slightly raised, elbows tucked, conserving space rather than projecting it.
