Dr. Xarra Vellithar
Species
Wood Elf
Appearance
Tall, angular wood elf whose presence is both scholarly and slightly bestial. Xarra moves with a deliberate, almost feline grace punctuated by small, twitching gestures—his fingers feather through air when thinking. His robes are well-worn academic darkgreens and soot-brown, layered like strata, with leather patches and stitched-in specimen pockets. Little sigils of faded ink and stitched sigils of protection run the hems. A belt of brass loops and leather danglers carries scales, bone fragments, a brass divination lens, and a sealed vial pulsing faintly with a teal light. When he leans forward to speak his gaze is unnervingly close; his yellow eyes glint like polished amber, bright with curiosity and hunger for knowledge. Unexpectedly, his left forearm is a patchwork of pale scales and faintly luminescent moss that seems to shift and grow in tiny increments over time—an odd, organic contradiction to his otherwise refined, academic air.
““Please, spare me the romanticized nonsense. Magic is just a tool.”

Distinguishing Features
Left forearm partially covered in pale scales and moss-like growths
Faint stitch-scars along neck and wrists where arcane grafts were attached
Hands long and callused, with ink-stained fingertips
A thin silver circlet worn low on the brow with an inset of cracked glass
Voice
“Thin, cultured, and reedy with an edge—like parchment scraping glass. It can become mellifluous when teaching and hissed when provoked.”
Clothing
Layered academic robes in deep green and soot, a high-collared under-vest with pockets, leather traveling boots softened by centuries of repair, a belt of brass loops and hanging trinkets, and a battered mortarboard-like cap embroidered with the University sigil and foreign glyphs.
Body Language
Reserved but intense: leans forward when intrigued, fingers constantly moving as if cataloging; when angry, his posture becomes feline and predatory, shoulders hunched slightly and gaze narrowing.
