Varron Ash-Thread
Warlock (Pact of the Blade, Fiend Patron)
Varron Ash-Thread
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Varron moves like someone used to squeezing through shutters and slipping between barges: deliberate, economical motions that hide quick reflexes. His skin holds the dull, smoked-lilac of coal-streaked ash rather than bright infernal red; a thin lattice of silvery scars veins the left side of his face like frost on glass. He keeps one eyebrow braided with a length of tarnished copper chain—an old superstition and a tally of each life debt he owes. When he stands in light his horn stubs seem to absorb it, giving him a small, eerie silhouette. Unexpectedly, his left hand is ink-dark from years of cartography and ledger-keeping and is always fragrant of lemon oil, as if he habitually cleans tools or weapons at odd hours. He favors close-quarters stillness, but when angered he darts like a struck cat.
“Measured cadence, with a dry wit. Uses short, well-placed metaphors drawn from the sea and trade.”

“Low, slightly rasping, with a tucked-away laugh. He softens into near-whisper when mentioning his patron.”
Clothing
Dark, layered leathers dyed in coal blacks and river-browns. A high-collared vest stitched with hidden pockets, a half-cloak that hems like oil, and tightly wrapped forearm bracers reinforced with thin iron scales. Often wears one gauntlet fingerless to expose his ink-stained fingers. Boots with soft soles used for silent movement.
Body Language
Keeps his torso angled away slightly as if ready to slip; when listening he leans forward just enough to show attention but not vulnerability. His left hand frequently flexes near his ledger as if ready to snatch it.
