(17)A ruby-red phial sealed with wax; tastes faintly of iron and soot. Standard adventuring tonic.
A deeper-red potion, thicker than the basic healing draught. Kept behind a locked case.
A battered leather bag with a faintly humming sigil stitched into its mouth. Useful, if you don't mind its smell.
A palm-sized globe of rippled glass that shines like a trapped mote of rain. Often used as a portable lamp.
A smooth dark stone set into a silver clasp. Keeps close to the owner's skin like a worry bead.
A brass-caged lantern whose glass is engraved with Cannith maker marks. The flame never sizzles.
A dark shard that seems to drink light. It thrums faintly when placed against a watcher's jaw.
A small brass coupler engraved with arc-lines; it clips to a spellcaster's focus and buzzes faintly when spellcraft is attempted.
A stout weathered tube of leather and oiled cloth; inside pockets protect inks and inksmear.
A brass token the size of a coin, stamped with a lightning rail sigil and a faded house mark.
A curling scrap of paper, inked in hurried shorthand and sealed with wax. Useful for a sudden ward.
A stamped calibration talisman, the sort of thing machinists keep in a drawer and forget about until needed.
A soot-dark cloak lined with copper filigree. It smells faintly of forge-sweat.
Worn leather boots lined with a whisper-silk. The soles are thin but oddly muffled.
A longblade with a faintly pulsing maker's rune etched near the hilt. Balanced, sure-handed.
A short ebony wand threaded with tiny, trembling blue lights. The wand hums if it senses hostile intent.
A braided cord of insulated wire and leather; its tip sparks when stroked.

Shop Atmosphere
“Location and atmosphere: The Gloamforge Curios sits in a narrow side-street in lower Sharn, wedged between a shuttered lampworks and a laundry that perpetually steams. Its facade is a tired brass portcullis and a single glyph-lantern that never gutters. Inside, the shop is a maze of shelves and pegboards: arc-tools hang beside soot-dark cloaks, glass vials glimmer under welding lamps, and a low brass anvil groans with the memory of a hundred repairs. The air smells of ozone, oil, and old paper. A small reading table near the back is always strewn with diagrams of lightning-rail schematics and half-inked runes. Eberron flavour: Shadowed sigils of House Cannith are etched into several display cases, and a dark, warped map of the Mournland peeks from a drawer; rumors swirl that the shop trades in salvage from frontier salvage-crowds and the occasional manifest zone find. The clientele is pragmatic and cautious: couriers, mercenaries, and artificers who want equipment that works and does not draw attention. Owner and manner: The proprietor is Vess-HLN (calls themself 'Vess'), a warforged artificer of roughly level 7. Vess's plating bears a long, jagged scar of scorched metal across the chest where an experimental hearth-ward failed; a faded House Cannith maker's mark can just be made out beneath the grime. Vess speaks in machine-soft ticks and clipped sentences, but their eyes—pale lenses rimmed with brass—flicker with dry humor. They favour trades over coin when possible and are quick to remind customers that some items carry debts: favors owed to quiet brokers, minor wards left by reluctant donors, and a ledger that knows more routes than a map. Vess prefers bartering for information or salvage components and may offer a discount if you bring scrap from beyond the Sharn Gates. Roleplay hooks: Vess will test a buyer's intentions with a single question about where they learned to fence or fix an arc-brace; a truthful or competent answer grants a small discount. Vess keeps a locked backroom for rarer items and will summon a buyer to it only after a brief vetting. Occasionally the shop receives a crate stamped with a House mark and smelling of Mournland iron; those crates come with strings and may pull a party into a salvage run if they want a discount. The shop hums faintly at night; neighbors whisper that Vess sometimes wakes the anvil to rearrange inventory when convenience demands it.”
