A superbly balanced longsword hammered in the Emberhearth. Etched with a tiny anvil sigil; holds an edge longer than an ordinary blade.

Masterwork craftsmanship: grants advantage on a single Strength (Athletics) check to break or pry per day when used as a tool.

A heavy head and reinforced haft; favored by temple acolytes who do their penance at the anvil.

Balanced for hammer-rites; when striking an anvil, produces a resonant tone used in blessing rituals.

Simple but dependable shortbow crafted for patrols and acolytes of the church.

A finely balanced longsword whose edge hums faintly. Blessed in a short rite at the anvil.

Atk The blade glows softly while prayers are chanted at dawn; that glow sheds dim light in a 5-foot radius.

A blade forged with a core of star-iron and stoked in consecrated fires. Runes glow like coals when drawn.

Atk On hit the blade deals an extra fire damage. While attuned and sacrificing a minute of prayer, its wielder can ignite the blade to shed bright light (30 ft) and dim light (30 ft) for up to 1 hour. Overuse risks consuming a charge and requiring a day of cool forging to restore.
Armor3

A wooden shield rimmed with iron and stamped with the church's anvil motif. Used by temple guards.

AC +2When the bearer spends 1 minute praying while holding it, a once-per-day minor ward grants +1 to a single saving throw made within the next hour.

Scale of interlocking ringlets tempered in forge-holy oil. Lighter than normal chain shirts with reinforced shoulder plates.

AC +13Grants resistance to minor heat and sparks in the forge (no mechanical effect outside roleplay).

A heavy iron shield with a faint ember motif. Augmented in the holy ovens with a blessing to turn aside harm.

AC +3Provides the normal +2 shield bonus to AC and an additional +1 to AC (total +3 when wielded).
Miscellaneous7

A full set of smith's tools blessed by a forge-priest; tongs, hammers, files, and this and that arranged on leather.

Grants bonus to checks made with smith's tools (investigations / crafting related to metalwork) while carried.

A vial of a smoky, viscous oil used to quench and temper metal. Applied to gear to stave off flame and stress.

When applied to a single piece of metal equipment (takes 1 minute), grants resistance to fire damage for 10 minutes. (DM adjudicates unusual cases.)

A bundle of arrows dipped in a preservative and symbolically blessed. More reliable in heat and humidity.

Slightly better durability; in rare cases an arrow might not shatter when embedded in metal or masonry (flavorful, DM's call).

On-site repair by veteran smiths; minor dents and torn straps can be fixed, chain-links mended, and plating re-riveted.

Repairs restore item to working condition. Significant magical item repair requires special rites and extra cost (discuss with Edrin).

A compact bundle of coal and charcoal used for stoking forges; the cathedral always sells them to neighbors and adventurers alike.

Strong iron shoes fitted and lightly blessed to endure hard travel.

Blessing grants the horse advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks to traverse rocky terrain once per day (roleplay/DM call).

A small iron token stamped with the church's anvil. When presented to a priest or smith, it redeems a short blessing or a minor rite.

Usually used for a simple prayer, the forging of a holy symbol, or to receive a single minor protective blessing (DM adjudicates precise effect).
Potions1

A small vial filled with a rosy liquid warmed by the taste of iron; a common restorative kept on hand for minor injuries.

Heal 7 HPRestores hit points when consumed.
Miscellaneous1

A heavy hammer whose head bears a faintly glowing anvil sigil. Used by temple forgers and ritual smiths.

Atk When attuned, grants +2 to smith's tools checks. Once per long rest the wielder may cast Heat Metal (as 2nd-level spell) without material components (save ).

Shop Atmosphere

The smithy serves as both a shop and a chapel: the forge bell rings before opening and closes on evening prayers. Small embers occasionally dance in the air that don't burn (locals call them 'blessing-coals'). Edrin will pause any sale to lead a two-minute prayer over a weapon if the buyer allows it — this yields a small symbolic blessing and a discount of 5% on mundane goods. The shop keeps only one high-grade Emberbrand or other rare item in stock at a time and places it on the inner anvil between sales for a day of consecration.
