Miscellaneous9

A leather roll with bandages, salves, splints and small glass vials. Standard kit for stabilizing and tending wounds.

10 uses. Use to stabilize a dying creature without a Medicine check; expend a use to restore 1 HP to a creature (applied immediately).

A mortar and pestle, identification charts, drying racks and small labeled jars — everything for gathering and preparing medicinal herbs.

Required to craft most non-magical herbal remedies and identify unknown plants reliably.

A fragrant balm made from comfrey, beeswax and a pinch of ironbloom. Rubbed into a wound to staunch bleeding.

Apply to an open wound to restore HP over the next minute (not magical). Provides +1 to Medicine checks made to treat the same wound while it remains applied.

A stitched cloth pack filled with crushed cooling herbs. Designed for immediate field use.

Instantly restores HP when applied. If used on a dying creature within one round, grants advantage on the next death saving throw.

A linen satchel containing common medicinal herbs (yarrow, mint, comfrey, chamomile).

Enough material for two simple poultices or one tincture. Can be used as spell components requiring generic herbs.

Thin sticks of a fragrant, blue-tinted resin. Produces a cool, clinging smoke when lit.

When burned, the smoke clings and masks scent for 10 minutes in a 5-foot radius (useful for hunting or concealment). Also used for minor purification rituals.

A small packet of seeds for a robust, medicinal herb used in poultices and salves.

Planting yields a common medicinal herb after a season. Useful for downtime gardening/crafting.

A roll of well-stitched linen bandage. Cheap and practical.

Used to bind wounds; required for improvised first aid. Often consumed when used with a Healer's Kit.

A single, carefully-wrapped leaf from a nightshade plant. Kept behind the counter and sold only to those who can handle it safely.

Poisonous if ingested; commonly used in small doses by apothecaries and poisoners for tinctures and study.
Potions3

A small, corked vial of rosy liquid. Drinking mends flesh and dulls pain.

Heals HP when consumed (standard Common Potion of Healing).

A chalky, bitter liquid in a stoppered vial. Helps the body fight off venoms and poisons.

Gives advantage on saving throws against poison for 1 hour.

A warm, amber tonic brewed from ashroot and citrus-peel. Sip slowly.

Grants advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on taste or smell for 1 hour.

Shop Atmosphere

Thistle & Root sits on a crooked lane under an overhang of ivy. Shelves of amber jars and hanging herbs crowd the front room; a low stove hums in back and a cat with one white paw dozes on an herb-stuffed chair. Mirella Thistlefen is slight and sunfreckled, with hair braided through with dried lavender and a perpetual smear of plant dye across her fingers. She greets customers with a cup of something warm, offers a sniff-test for any suspect herb, and will barter favors or local secrets for rare ingredients. Hours: dawn to dusk (but she'll stay up late if you bring an injured companion). Quirks: she hums an old druidic tune when mixing potions, refuses to price 'odd little things' until she knows a customer's story, and keeps a ledger of local ailments (good for plot hooks). Default cheap miscellany she always has on hand: twine (1 cp), beeswax (2 sp), small glass vials (1 sp each), and sacks of dried roots (5 sp).
