Shop Atmosphere

The Gilded Flagon sits on a crooked street where lantern light pools against wet cobbles. The bar is polished to a dull shine and the room smells of spiced stew, smoke, and old stories. Elmira runs the place with a keen eye and a quicker tongue. She keeps one hand on the till and the other on the gossip. Regulars know that a glass of her ale costs less than your secrets, but both are spent fast. The back room holds a flagged table where merchants haggle and adventurers compare wounds. Elmira offers a modest room upstairs and will barter small repairs or local information in exchange for a night of work or an interesting tale. She dislikes sloppy coin and sloppy companions, and she has a ledger with a list of those who have overstayed their welcome.
