Shop Atmosphere
“The Black Smithy opens early to tend to weapons for the city watch and stays late to bind metalwork with prayers. The shop smells of hot iron, beeswax, and frankincense. A carved effigy of the Inquisition's patron hangs above the forge and the owner keeps a ledger of 'favours owed' in a locked drawer. He will refuse to repair or sell anything that might be used for sacrilegious rites without written authorization from the Inquisition.”
