Shop Atmosphere
“The forge smells of coal and pine tar; a small iron bell hangs over the doorway and rings when Borun steps in from the back room. Borun hums an old dwarven tune while he works and insists on staring down any blade he sells with a magnifying lens ('a true edge has a soul'). He keeps a battered journal of customers (and grudges) behind the counter and will offer a free cup of bitter spruce tea to those who bring news or exotic ore. Borun will haggle a bit for mundane wares but is adamant that magical inscriptions are priced firm — and he expects to inspect any item brought for repair before quoting a final price.”
