Miscellaneous5

Simple, well-prepared parchment rolled and tied with twine. Absorbs ink cleanly and resists smudging.

A feathered quill that never needs dipping when writing spells — it draws ink small amounts from an internal reservoir.

Reduces chance of botched scroll scribing (DC -2 for checks).

A vial of ink mixed with powdered starmoss and a single mote of faerie-luck. Necessary for making scrolls that hold stable magic.

Each vial contains enough ink for about ten 1st-level inscriptions (fewer for higher-level spells).

Leather-wrapped tube lined with thin lead sheets to protect sensitive glyphs from scrying and light rain.

Adds +2 to saving throws vs. magical detection (DM adjudicates).

Small pouch containing common spell components: powdered chalk, a bit of bat guano, iron filings, small beads, etc.

Satisfies most non-costly component requirements for spells.
Miscellaneous9

A single-use scroll bearing the Mage Armor spell. Useful for casters or light-armored allies who lack armor.

Allows a creature to cast Mage Armor (AC = 13 + Dex modifier) if they can read the scroll (spellcasting ability not required if written in Common Arcane.)

A shimmering scroll that creates illusory duplicates to confuse attackers.

Cast Mirror Image as written. Useful for frontline casters or scouts.

A carefully scribed globe of fiery runes. Handle with extreme care — a poorly read scroll can explode.

Casts Fireball ( fire; save for half). If used by a non-spellcaster with no spellcasting ability, the DM may require an Arcana check or treat as automatic; mishandling could deal fire to reader on failure.

A taut ribbon of shimmering script that rushes with kinetic energy. Favored by adventuring companies.

Casts Haste on a willing creature, granting extra attack and speed as per spell.

Light as a moth-wing, this scroll grants flight for a short duration.

Casts Fly on the target for up to 10 minutes.

A precise, clinical collection of runes used to negate ongoing magic.

Casts Dispel Magic. If used against a spell of 3rd level or lower, it auto-succeeds.

Words shaped to gently bend willpower. Useful for social manipulation or getting out of tight spots.

Casts Suggestion; the DM should adjudicate plausible suggestions and duration.

A shimmering, somewhat unstable scroll that grants true invisibility even when attacking. Marella acquired it from a travelling illusionist.

Casts Greater Invisibility. Due to rarity, Marella requires a 25% deposit to hold and asks for provenance if resold.

A low-cost single-use scroll with a cantrip (Sleeping Fan, Light, Minor Illusion, or similar). Marella keeps a rotating stock.

Cantrip as written; value depends on cantrip chosen.
Miscellaneous1

Marella will scribe a spell you possess onto a scroll. Price includes parchment, ink, and her labor. Requires 1 day per spell level (minimum 1 day).

Marella performs a skill check (Arcana) for complicated or rare spells; failed check may raise price or require rework.
Potions1

A small glass phial containing herbaceous liquid. It's not a cure, but eases fatigue and soothes minor arcane backlash after failed scribing.

Heal 4 HPHeals hit points when drunk and grants advantage on the next Arcana or Sleight of Hand check within 1 hour.

Shop Atmosphere

The shop smells of ink, ozone, and dried lavender. Shelves are a cheerful chaos — scrolls float in protective glass bubbles that hum faintly; Marella offers tea to customers and will happily tell a two-minute story about any scroll's origin for a silver. She insists that customers sign a ledger (in invisible ink) promising not to misread explosive scrolls. Occasionally a stray glyph will rearrange letters of product tags — Marella calls it 'spelling with attitude' and charges 1 cp to have it fixed.
