Stolen goods are bought at roughly 30 to 60 percent of the retail value depending on how hot they are. Vess keeps a ledger of goods and a private cellar for items that require more discretion. The shop will sometimes take items in trade for services: fences can arrange introductions, false papers, or safe passage for a markup. Vess dislikes open conflict and avoids using overt magic in the front room; transactions are usually hush, sealed with a coin stamped with a raven.”
