Shop Inventory
(12)A single-shot flintlock pistol in tempered iron with infernal etchings along the barrel. Standard renaissance firearm as in the DMG optional rules. Loud and reliable when kept dry.
A long-barreled musket, bayonet lug filed smooth and a faint brass sigil welded into the stock. Accurate at longer ranges but slow to reload.
A wide-mouthed blunder-style firearm with a flared brass bell and infernal runes that glow when the weapon is armed. It spits a scatter of shards and ember when used.
A strip of ten carefully cast lead balls in a waxed paper wrap. The shopkeeper stamps each bundle with a tiny infernal rune to indicate quality.
A small iron sphere packed with black powder and a slow-burning fuse. When lit, it expels a concussive gout of flame and shrapnel.
A small clay sphere that emits a choking cloud when its fuse burns down. Useful for retreats or masking movement.
A leather-bound powder horn, its mouth reinforced with brass and a tiny infernal seal stamped on the side. The scent of brimstone clings to it faintly.
A tiny infernal brass cap engraved with a sigil. The shopkeeper installs it for a fee and warns against DIY modifications.
A leather roll of fine tools, stained with gunpowder and a dark varnish. It contains the subtle secrets of firearm maintenance taught by the proprietor.
A small pouch containing a ramrod, cloth swabs, and a tin of oil. Sold for patron convenience and to keep expensive firearms from pitting.
A sleek handgun whose barrel is forged from a metal that drinks light. When fired the muzzle exudes a thin tongue of blue flame. The owner says the metal came from a meteor, though other patrons whisper it was paid for in vows.
Short cartridges whose tips glow with a faint ember-red. They are pricier than standard lead, favored by hunters of fiends and those who crave theatrics.

Shop Atmosphere
“The shop is a long, narrow room whose walls are hung with racks of smoking-black barrels and brass fittings. Soot flakes the stone floor but never seems to settle; candles burn with a reddish-blue flame. A faint scent of brimstone and clove hangs in the air, and infernal glyphs pulse softly above each priced item. The owner sits behind a counter of hammered iron and obsidian, a cup of strongly spiced coffee cooling beside a single candle. The proprietor is Sarrax Veyr, a tiefling artificer of middling renown and strange taste. Sarrax is level 6, years hardened by forge-fire and legalities of pacts he will never name. His horns are filed into elegant ridges and one small scorch-marked tail is braided with brass beads. He claims to have once served a minor fiend as a smith’s apprentice; others suspect a bargain made in the name of survival. He speaks with a soft, sardonic humor and charges more for favors than for goods, but he has a weakness for honest merchants and well-made promises. Sarrax runs background services: weapon repairs (small repairs while you wait, larger fixes by appointment), basic attunement advice, and discreet disposal of magical components. He will haggle — especially for trade-ins of unusual materials such as planar iron, hellfire glass, or brine from the Styx — but he hates sloppy customers and will refuse service to anyone who refuses to clean up after firing a weapon inside the shop. He keeps a ledger of unfinished bargains bound in red leather, and sometimes a faint, otherworldly whisper escapes it when the shutters are closed.”
