Shop Atmosphere
“Tharben hums an old forging tune while he works and will insist on a free sample test of any blade you buy (often on a cabbage or the shop's training dummy). He has an iron prosthetic hand, nicknamed 'Hammer', which he polished obsessively; he delays closing until 'Hammer' is satisfied. The shop smells of oil, coal smoke, and hot iron; a pair of heavy bellows and a small indoor forge occupy the rear. Tharben sometimes offers trade deals for ores, rare weapons, or service-for-weapon barter instead of coin.”
