Shop Atmosphere
“Mirielle keeps a tiny brass bell on the counter that she rings softly when a new delivery arrives; the bell's note changes pitch depending on the origin of the goods. She accepts barter of curios (particularly interesting spell components or small relics) and keeps a ledger with names of regular customers and the odd favor owed. The shop smells faintly of old paper, lavender, and ozone. Mirrors in the back are used as message mirrors and, on occasion, wink when a customer is telling a lie (Mirielle never uses them to accuse, only to hint). She is generous with advice but coy about why she left the Collegium of Lorrin—she will ask a probing question in return for discounts to those who pass a small riddle.”
