(18)A sharp, balanced blade favored by rogues and scouts. Cleaned and oiled; its pommel is wrapped in black leather.
A short, sharp blade with a darkened fuller. Reliable for one-handed fighting and dual-wielding.
A well-forged steel blade, slightly darkened along the edge to hide minor nicks. Balanced for a foot soldier or a knight.
A plain quarterstaff, stained dark by use. Useful as a walking staff and a melee weapon.
A compact crossbow with a darkened metal stock. Quiet, reliable, and favored for ambushes.
A handaxe with a haft wrapped in black leather. Good for melee and throwing.
A narrow shortsword whose edge drinks light. The blade seems colder to the touch, and faint sigils crawl along the fuller when danger approaches.
A supple leather cuirass dyed a deep charcoal. Flexible and quiet, it bears faint rune-like stitching favored by certain dark orders.
Studded leather with small, obsidian-colored rivets. Offers a little more protection while remaining quiet.
A round wooden shield bound in steel, painted black. It bears a faint scorch mark that never seems to fade.
A small buckler forged from gloomsteel, pitted with runes. It is lighter than it looks and seems to swallow lamplight near its rim.
A small glass phial with ink-black liquid that swirls with faint silver motes when shaken. Restores vitality when drunk.
A 50-foot coil of hempen rope, darkened with tar to resist rot. Useful for climbs and traps.
A sturdy leather backpack with reinforced straps and inner compartments for weapons and vials.
A small whetstone for keeping blades keen. Cheap, useful, and usually free with large purchases.
Silken gloves threaded with thin shadow-filaments. They fit snugly and leave faint smoky prints on grip points.
A blackened flask of oil. It burns like normal oil but gives flames an eerie violet tint.
A small box of tinder and flint, wrapped in soot-stained leather. Essential for camping.

Shop Atmosphere
“The Obsidian Rack sits beneath an iron awning on a narrow lane often damp with fog. Inside, racks of blackened weapons and racks of shadow-stained armor lean against walls lit by jars of bottled gloom that give off a cold, blue light. A faint smell of oil and iron hangs in the air, threaded with a metallic sweetness like old incense. The owner, Morrigan Voss, is a tiefling warlock-turned-armorer who keeps one hand ringed with a thumb-sized onyx and the other stained with soot. She speaks in a low, deliberate voice and keeps a ledger full of names in a book bound with black leather. Morrigan will haggle politely but will not sell overtly dangerous artifacts to outright novices; she offers small, dark-tinged charms and items suited to low-level parties and trades favors for strange services. The shop plays soft tinny music from a cracked phonograph and sometimes hums faintly when undead or fiendish creatures are near.”
