Shop Inventory
(15)A well-balanced steel longsword with a brass guard engraved with a leaf motif.
A short, sharp blade with a reinforced pommel for throwing or close work.
Two well-made handaxes with heat-tempered edges.
Custom-fitted leather armor with brass studs and elbow reinforcements; crafted in-shop.
A round wooden shield rimmed in iron, light but sturdy.
All the hammers, files, tongs and rasps a smith needs to maintain arms and armor.
Twenty well-fletched arrows; shafts tightened with resin to resist warping.
A corked glass flask of lamp oil—useful to fuel fires, lubricate gears, or as an improvised weapon when lit.
A ceremonial whetstone bearing a tiny gold leaf inlay. Rubbed over a blade it sharpens to a keen edge for a short time.
A polished iron torch that never burns down; it holds small embers that shed bright light and can be channeled.
A small coin stamped with Gold Leaf Buy-in. Presenting it at a bid raises your standing with the auctioneer.
A stamped slip that secures a seat and voice at the next Gold Leaf Buy-in auction night.
A small vial of a special oil used during tempering that improves durability of edged weapons.
On-the-spot repair and sharpening that restores a weapon to functional state between adventures.
A finely tempered longsword whose blade seems to drink in light and glow faintly at the edge. The fuller is filled with a blackened pattern like cooling magma; a tiny gold leaf is inlaid at the base of the blade.

Shop Atmosphere
“Voss hums constantly—an odd mix of a war chant and a smith's rhythm—and the shop is perfumed faintly with embers and gold leaf glue. Every Thursday evening the shop transforms into the Gold Leaf Buy-in auction: the forge becomes a stage, bidders sit at a raised table, and Voss rings a brass bell forged from a melted coin to start the bidding. He offers 'first pour'—a flask of tempering oil—to the highest bidder as a show of trust. He talks with sparks flickering from his fingers when excited, and will accept barters of rare ore, crafted items, or favors in addition to coin. Frequent buyers are given a small gold-leaf token (Smith's Luck) that grants minor privileges at auctions.”
