A length of reliable rope, a little frayed at the ends — much better than it looks.

Basic fire-starting tools; the flint bears faint rust-colored scratches that look like a child's doodles.

A dependable waterskin. Smells faintly of perfumed soap (the sort nobles favor).

A weathered kit: picks, files, a small mirror. The case has been mended more times than you'd think possible.

Once per long rest on a successful Sleight of Hand check, the tools grant a +2 to pick a lock (Nim will wink if you buy them).

A tiny padlock that, when affixed and locked, muffles sounds within a 5-foot radius for 1 minute (1 charge).

Can be used once per day. When locked, it casts silence in a 10-foot sphere for 1 minute; requires attunement by a creature with dexterity 10+.

A glass marble that contains a swirl of violet light. It hums faintly and glows when held by someone who has been told a secret.

Once per day, can be crushed to cast Faerie Fire (save ) centered on the marble; the marble is inert for 24 hours after use.

A tiny silver mirror that shows more than your reflection if you ask it a question at midnight.

Once per long rest, the user can cast Detect Thoughts (as the spell) for up to 1 minute. The mirror requires attunement.

A polished thimble that fixes frayed cloth when you hum a tune.

Can cast Mending at will. Once per short rest, can repair a small tear in armor or clothing to restore minor sturdiness (+1 to a single non-magical item's saving throw vs. breaking for 24 hours).

A small lute with a single string of silver wire. Its notes sound impossibly like laughter.

Once per long rest, the player may cast Charm Person (save ) on a target who can hear the music. Functions only while the lute is played.

A burlap bundle filled with marbles, buttons, a thimble, a nib of candlewax, a broken candlestick key, and other small things.

Contents are random; on purchase, Nim will let the buyer reach in and take three items unseen. Estimated total mundane value ~20 gp.

A folded map in a child's hand, inked in a hurried script with tiny footsteps marking secret paths.

When consulted and followed for at least 10 minutes, grants the party +2 to navigation checks to avoid patrols or find secluded routes for 24 hours.

A sturdy lantern with a shutter hood. The wick smells faintly of lemon oil.

A finely wrought locket that thrums when someone in the room tells a deliberate lie.

Once per hour, when held, it vibrates and tugs toward the nearest lie within 30 feet, making the holder aware there's deceit. Does not identify the liar.

A jaunty cap with a single iridescent feather. It sits oddly on adult heads but does the job.

Once per long rest, the wearer can cast Disguise Self for up to 1 hour. Preferentially favors childlike or fey features.

A small paper packet of colorful buttons and glass marbles — delightfully mundane, to some people a treasure.

A copper coin flattened at one side. Lean it near a locked wooden door and the coin occasionally warms along the seams.

Once per day, when pressed into a wooden lock or seam, it emits a faint vibration that grants +5 to a single Dexterity check to open or pry that specific wooden mechanism.
Weapons1

A small, well-balanced dagger with a carved tiny face on the pommel. It hums faintly when thrown.

Atk When thrown, returns to the wielder's hand at the end of the turn. Can be summoned back as a bonus action once per short rest.
Armor2

A soot-dark cloak with a whisper-thin lining. Wearing it makes your footsteps softer and your edges less certain.

AC +1Grants +1 to Stealth checks while worn. Once per long rest, the wearer can cast Pass Without Trace (no concentration).

Soft leather boots lined with down; they leave prints like tiny paws instead of human feet.

Wearer has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and takes no falling damage from drops of 20 feet or less. Requires attunement.
Potions2

A ruby-red potion in a stitched leather vial. Restores vitality when drunk.

Heal 14 HP

A fizzy green elixir that tingles in the mouth and makes the world feel a touch slower.

For 1 hour: +10 ft movement and advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks. One use.

Shop Atmosphere

Nim rearranges his shelves when customers aren't looking; items occasionally vanish from the stall to reappear folded into customers' pockets as 'change'. He barters with riddles and will often accept stories, secrets, or a small favor in place of coin. If you try to steal from the shelves, the goods may clap and squeal until returned; if you spend time playing with Nim (15 minutes), he'll show you the back of the shop — where he keeps the things he 'forgot' to price.
