Shop Atmosphere
“The shop is warm, loud and fragrant with coal and oil. Brom always greets customers with a gloved hand and a spritz of polishing oil; he hums an old dwarven hammer-song while he works. A tabby cat called 'Anvil' sleeps on a pile of padded gloves near the forge and will try to steal only the nicest leather scraps. Prices are fixed but Brom will haggle if you offer a trade-in (old blades at 1/4 market value) or a story worth a free sharpening. He refuses to sell barbed gear to anybody wearing city guard colors and will stop work to bless a new weapon for a cleric's order — for a modest donation.”
