He insists all customers snap their fingers three times on the anvil before haggling (a superstition from his grandmother). Clan-marked dwarves get a 10% discount; non-dwarves are given a complimentary shot of smoky iron-ale with large purchases. Bargaining is normal, but any offer that insults the metal or the city (or mocks Gauntlegrym's lost banners) is met with a boisterous recitation of ancestral smith-swears and immediate refusal.”
