Shop Atmosphere
“The Rapier's Edge sits on a narrow, cobbled lane; light from the forging hearth paints ripples across racks of blades. Swords hang by leather loops, their points aligned as if in formation. A polished practice dummy stands in the corner, scarred from countless lessons. Mirelda Harsen, the proprietor, is a compact, no-nonsense human with oil-stained palms and a duelist's scar across her chin. She hums an old dueling tune while she works, measures customers' hands as if fitting gloves to a bride, and always offers a free whet after a purchase. She keeps a small ledger of local fencing schools and a locked drawer labeled "Orders for Gentlefolk". Mirelda insists on seeing a customer's stance before recommending a blade and will refuse service to anyone too reckless with a test swing.”
